Registruokitės

Signing up for LibraryThing is fast and easy. All you need is a user name and a password. We do not require any other information.

To sign up for LibraryThing, go to the home page, click "Join now" and enter a user name and a password in the yellow box. You're done!

Patarimai

  • You can add an email to your account when you sign up, or by going to your Profile and choosing Edit profile/account settings. If you don't add an email, it will be hard for you to retrieve a lost password. You can choose to keep your email address hidden, so no one else can see it.

Įrašyti knygą

Sukurkite savo LibraryThing biblioteką, pradėdami pildyti katalogą.

Click the Add books tab. In the green search box, enter a title, author or an ISBN. Books will appear on the right side of the screen. Click on a book to add it to your library.

Patarimai

  • LibraryThing takes its book information from Amazon, the Library of Congress, or one of more than 680 other world libraries. Look under "Search where?" to change your source.
  • Click the "(more)" under a book title to display more information about a book, such as the edition.
  • Import a whole list of books by using the Universal Import.
  • Many members like to tag their books (what are tags?). To tag your books as you enter them, fill in the "Tags to add" field before you click search.
  • Click "show quick edit" to add tags, ratings or a review to the book right after you add it. To edit more information, click the pencil icon.
  • For faster entry, use the * key on your numberpad instead of the 'x' in an ISBN.
  • Naudokite CueCat brūkšninių kodų skaitytuvą greitam knygų informacijos įkėlimui.

Mano biblioteka

Savo bibliotekoje matote visas knygas, kuris įtraukėte į savo katalogą.

You can choose to show your books as a list or display just the covers

Patarimai

  • Norėdami keisti informaciją, dukart spragtelėkite langelį arba spauskite pieštuko ikoną.
  • Customize which columns you want to display by choosing a display style. You can save up to 5 display styles. Edit them by clicking the pencil.
  • Rūšiuokite savo katalogą spragtelėdami stulpelio pavadinimą (autorius, pavadinimas ir t.t.) Spragtelėjus vieną kartą, bus rūšiuojama didėjančia seka (t.y., A-Z), o spragtelėjus du kartus - mažėjančia (t.y., Z-A). Prie to stulpelio, pagal kurį rūšiuojate, bus rodomas mažas mėlynas trikampėlis.
  • The people in the shared column indicate how many members share the book with you. A text bubble means that the book has reviews on LibraryThing. The number below the people shows you how many people list the book in their catalog and the number of reviews.
  • Click the printer icon to create a printable list of your books.
  • Use PowerEdit to edit several books at the same time.

Jūsų erdvė

Your profile page contains an overview of you and your library. It also highlights members with similar libraries, and lets you keep up with your friends' recently added books, reviews and ratings.

See at a glance how many books are in your collection, tag and author clouds, links to reviews you've written, a photo gallery of authors in your collection, and much more.

Patarimai

  • Under Edit profile/account settings you can choose to upload a picture, write a little bit about yourself and your library, and set some account preferences. All the profile fields are optional—you choose how much or how little you want to share.
  • If you'd rather keep your library private, click "Edit profile/account settings"
  • Use "Comments" to send a note to another member.
  • The Statistics page shows you books that you share with only one other LibraryThing member (your soulmate, perhaps?). You can also see which series are represented in your library and other interesting statistics.

All the group forums are connected through Talk. Talk is a special sort of "forum" system. With Talk you can see the conversations happening in all groups, or just your groups. You can also find just the conversations that mention the books in your LibraryThing library.

Patarimai

  • In Talk, you can select which conversations you'd like to view by clicking one of the options under "The World" or "Your World".
  • To keep tabs on a Group without actually joining it, you can "watch" a group. It will show up in your list of groups, but you won't appear on the list of members.
