Okay, I'm starting this with everything read since the beginning of October because I think I can actually make it!
I am a middle school media specialist, so I mostly read YA books...but I must get away from it every so often, so you will see some other stuff on my list, too.
1.)
Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan
2.)
Invitation to the Game by Monica Hughes
3.)
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
4.)
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
6.)
The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer
I think Susan Beth Pfeffer intends to just rip my heart out...and not even tie up any loose ends to make me feel better.
And I think I like that.
7.)
Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Funny! And left me feeling good, despite the rough and tough situations Junior has faced (and will face...life is not going to get better on the rez).
8.)
Night Journeys by Avi
dull, but a very fast read. Had to read it for 8th grade book talks.
10.)
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Another book I couldn't put down, even though I thought I wouldn't like it.
11.)
Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
Only took me about an hour to read. I liked it more than I thought I would, I though that the slightly-unlikeable character of Greg was realistic and relate-able. That really is how middle school kids act!
14.)
Best Friends for Never by Lisi Harrison
Okay, so The Clique books are my guilty pleasure. Complete drama and fluff, I know. I lose brain cells every time I read one.
